1. OVERVIEW

On the first glance the box is small, narrow and slim which includes the phone right upfront,USB typeC-typeC cable, a SIM ejector tool and a few
documentations.

2. LOOKS/BUILD QUALITY

On the first impression the phone feels lighter and quite confident to hold as the sides now has become more flatter compared to Z Flip 3. It weighs around 188.9 grams and smaller by 1.5mm compared to Z flip 3. It's hinges are newly designed and smaller than the previous gen. It's got a metal
frame(shiny), side mounted finger-print sensor, dual nano SIM card slot(also supports e-sim), noise cancelling microphone, and no 3.5 mm jack. It's protected Gorilla glass Victus+ on both sides(front and back). Don't remove the Pre applied screen guard. This time Z flip 4 has got colour customizations for the backside having nearly 75 combinations for their Bespoke edition. Overall excellent in-hand feel.

3.  SPECIFICATION

This phone comes with top of the line specifications having Snapdragon 8+GEN1 processor. It's a 4nm based processor and the most power efficient in the industry right now. Globally this comes in 3 variants - 8/128GB, 8/256GB, 8/512GB but only first 2 variants will be there in India. It uses LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage type.

4. DISPLAY/PERFORMANCE

It has a 1.9 inch outer cover display(nearly HD+ resolution) protected by Gorilla glass Victus+. Coming to the main display, it is a 6.7
inch FHD+ which is 2X Dynamic Amoled with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to 1200 nits peak brightness, supporting HDR10+. With an aspect ratio of 22:9 the phone looks really tall. The bezels are very thin on all 4 sides and it's IPX8 rated.

Talking about performance, it has the 8+GEN1 processor, so absolutely no problem in terms of gaming giving an antutu score of 4,50,000. All the renowned titles can be played at the highest settings.

5. CAMERA/BATTERY
It comes with a 12MP(f/1.8) supporting OIS and a 12MP Ultrawide lens, and a 10MP(f/2.4) center punch-hole selfie camera. The camera series are similar to that of S21 series. Even though the Mega Pixel count is not that high, the image quality stands out. I mean the colours, sharpness are great. The
greatest difference to be noticed is while clicking low light(night) photos since the pixel size is increased from f/1.4 to f/1.8 comparing with the previous generation, it can capture more light. In terms of Videography 4k 60FPS video can be shot both front and back. It even has the Director's view feature coming from Z FOLD 4. The outer cover screen can be used to click portrait images through primary lens.
Talking about Battery, it has a 3700mAH battery supporting 25 Watt wired charging( adapter not included in the box), 15 Watt wireless charging and 4.5 watt reverse wireless charging. With SD 8+GEN1 and 6.7 inch screen it will give around 6-7 hours Screen On Time(SOT).

6. UI/FEATURES

This phone comes with ONE UI 4.1.1 and android version 12 and security patch of 1st May 2022 out of the box. With minimal bloatware one can experience a very clean UI. Samsung has promised 4 years of software updates and 5 years of security updates.
In terms of connectivity The number of 5G bands included in still unknown but all the major bands are expected. Along with 5G it has Dual 4G VolTE, Wi-Fi calling, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC(for those who want to use Samsung Pay).
It has got all the major sensors except the finger print which is side mounted.
For Multimedia, it has got stereo speakers of good quality, only the 22:9 aspect ratio of screen looks taller for multimedia consumption. Most importantly, the crease is quite evident though much lighter than the previous generation. It has also got IPX8 certification because of which the device can withstand height of 1-1.5m under water for about 30 minutes.

7. PRICING/COLOURS
Rs. 89,999 - 8/128GB, Rs. 94,999 - 8/256GB, Rs. 97,999 - 8/256GB(Top of the line variant-Bespoke Edition)
COLOURS AVAILABLE - Bora Purple, Graphite and Pink Gold

8. CONCLUSION
According to me though it is an incremental update over the previous generation but now it feels to be a finished product after 3-4 years when the first gen. FLIP was launched. The best area of improvement is the Hinge which now gives a lot more confidence compared to Z FLIP 3. Additionally the software
support promised by Samsung is highest in the industry right now. So yeah, if you buy this product you gonna love it of course if you are Ok with such tall screen. In short it's a refined version of Flip 3.
