1. OVERVIEW

You get the smartphone itself, a decent quality transparent TPU case, typeA - typeC charging cable, user manual and documentations. Thats all.

2. DESIGN/BUILD QUALITY

You get a polycarbonate back and frame. The back side really looks good. As if there is a combination of glittery visuals, little matt, glossy, colour changing effects, but it's not a fingerprint magnet.

Camera bump is minimal. The phone comes in a boxy frame with rounded edges but it's quite thin. It has a thickness of 8.25mm. It weighs around 194 grams. So, in all a good-looking phone in budget.

3. PORTS AND BUTTONS

At the top you get a hybrid SIM card slot (single SIM and SD card slot). At the bottom you get 3.5 mm headphone jack, typeC charging port, speakers. On the right side you get power button coupled with fingerprint scanner and volume buttons. However, there is no secondary mic. hole. 

4. DISPLAY

This phone is equipped with a 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate. Its screen to body ratio is about 90.61% and gets Panda glass protection.

Display brightness is good enough and gets the work done in both indoor and outdoor conditions. The touch response is good enough, especially during the app closing, opening and the swipes.

5. SPECIFICATIONS

This phone comes in 2 variants, 4/64GB and 6/128GB variants. It gets LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Additionally, you get support of virtual RAM. So overall great specif9ications in a low budget category.

6. PERFORMANCE

This phone is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 4 GEN1 which is a 6nm based 5G processor. Talking about the antutu scores it is more than 3,80,000 which is quite impressive. 

Additionally, the thermal management is excellent. For intense gaming and even multitasking this device will just remain cool. Games like PUBG NEW STATE and CODM can be played at high setting constantly giving about 45+ FPS. For a budget this device really offers an outstanding performance. So, no heating, no throttling. Absolutely butter.

7. OS/IU

This phone comes with Fun touch OS 12 based on android 12 out of the box. The brand has promised 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security update with this device. So absolutely no problem. However, you get to see some bloatware and pre-installed apps, though all of those can be easily uninstalled.

8. BATTERY

This phone gets a big 5000mAH battery which supports 18watt fast charging. However, you do not get the adapter inside the box, so you have to purchase it separately. This might be the first budget IQOO phone coming without an adapter. However, talking about its backup, seriously it's damn good dude.

Even on mixed usage this device will give you a screen time of more than a day. All credits go to the chipset. However, with that 18-watt fast charger, it will take around 1 hour 30 minutes to get fully charged. So excellent battery backup.

9. CONNECTIVITY/SENSORS

Talking about connectivity, this device gets Dual 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, Dual band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 5.0. However, you get support of only two 5G bands, N77 and N78. So not that good in terms of so-called future-proof smartphone. It gets support of all the sensor including the side-mounted finger-print sensor and face unlock, both of which works really fast.

10. FEATURES

Talking about extra features it gets FM radio, wide vine L1 support so streaming HD videos on Netflix and You-tube will not be an issue. Additionally display also gets 10-point multi-touch support.

11. CAMERA

You get a dual camera module at the rear with a primary 50MP(f/1.8) sensor which enables you to shoot 1080p videos at 60FPS, Portrait videos, Slow motion videos, Time-lapse videos and a Pro mode. However, the Night mode is only available in the 6GB variant. In the second camera there is a 2MP Macro sensor which takes out decent photos just like 2MP macro sensors of other brands. As usual ultra-wide-angle lens is missing which has now become quite common in the low budget category.

At the front you get an 8MP selfie camera. Through the selfie sensor also you can shoot 1080p videos at 60FPS, portrait mode is also present here in both photo and video modes. See let's not talk about the nonsense 2MP Macro camera. However, the image quality of the primary rear sensor is really good.

The Dynamic range is good enough, the bouquet shots are decent, colours are sharp making the images good during day light conditions. The image optimization of the selfie camera is good, portrait shots give a clear output. Talking about the night shots, they were decent enough, noise of the image is under control.

13. CONCLUSION

See if your requirement is performance, I mean if you are a one who just wants to squeeze the last drop of juice from your device, this is the one for you. Truely speaking, rarely I have seen such 5G smartphones in budget who offers such great performance. Just to support your phone, the battery backup is also top notch. So, if you are a low budget gamer or even a non-gamer, this is a value for money proposition according to me and you can surely go for it. Day to day tasks, multi-tasking is smooth. However few drawbacks are there, first of all you don't get the adapter right out of the box. If you purchase the smartphone from Amazon, the adapter is being bundled with the phone separately for Rs. 399. And the camera output is also decent. So that's all about it.
